I get about 6.5/7.5 W when wireless and bluetooth are off, screen
brightness is low, vmware and postgresql unloaded.
I also upgraded to 4Gb RAM.

With bluetooth off vmware and postgresql on, and wireless on, browsing
the web I get about 9.5/10.5 W, which I guess is quite ok.

I only added some small scripts to /etc/acpid/battery.d; mainly to set
wireless to low power and to shut down the lan port.
