<p><span class=3Drvts6>My I ask why? I can see they're both impressive mach=
ines, and they're both _Think_Pads (not IdeaPads, Essentials, etc.). The X1=
is $240 more expensive "starting at" though I didn't compare base specs to=
know if it bundles something that's optional on the T431s.</span></p>
<p><span class=3Drvts6><br></span></p>
<p><span class=3Drvts6>One difference is the X machines (X1, X230) start at=
3lb while the T431s starts at 3.6lb. What I would really like is an X331 (=
replacement for my X300). I now have an X220, which while nice and light, i=
s missing the elegance of the X300. :(</span></p>

<p><span class=3Drvts8>Hi All,</span></p>
<p><br></p>
<p><span class=3Drvts8>It is time to buy a new machine (well, one for my gi=
rlfriend, but I am the tech savvy of the couple :P). Combining portability =
and durability, I am between the X1 Carbon Ultrabook[1] and the T431s Premi=
um Ultrabook[2]. Any experience with these models, recommendations, or advi=
ce to decide between them? (From the specifications point of view, they are=
 almost equal)</span></p>
